Lil Wayne’s Saturday Night Live Fever
I know this is the third post on Lil wayne but dude is everywhere..including being the first hip hop artist to kick off the new season of “Saturday Night Live.” He joined Olympic God and host Michael Phelps and cast member Amy Poehler (pictured above). Watch Weezy perform “Got Money” below.
First hip-hop artist to kick off the new season? You seem to be forgetting the exponentially superior Public Enemy on the 1991 season premiere - hosted by Michael Jordan.
Unlike Wayne’s forgettable performance (did you see that wretched attempt at a guitar solo in Lollipop? Jesus…), I still remember every detail of PE’s appearance.

September 15th, 2008 at 6:31 amlil wayne….BEST artist around? in todays culture people just go by sales. sales wise he’s finally catching up to some heavy weight titans by lyrically speaking he’s good but not the best one of the best around. what johnny was saying that he’s not first. and understand public enemy are legends. if it wasnt for rakim,public enemy,krs-one,run dmc, big daddy kane there wouldnt be HIP-HOP period. im 22 but i know the history of hip-hop u better learn it because besides wayne,ti and some of the more recent artists i dont know where hip-hop is going. rappers making rock and roll and albums were they’re singing. Hip-Hop is changing and not in a good way….
