Café Dupri Forced to Close

JD

As the economy continues its downturn, no matter what your status, no one is safe from the drawbacks.

Even if you are Jermaine Dupri, who recently closed his Café Dupri, an eatery that he recently opened in the Buckhead section of Atlanta.

According to Dupri, who opened the health conscious café in 2005, the ailing United States economy prevented the business venture from taking off the ground.

“The economy has changed dramatically and people just aren’t eating out as much anymore,” Dupri states that, “People are cutting back everywhere and a lot of companies, including Café Dupri, are feeling the affect. For the past two months business at the Café has been down and if the business isn’t making money, I feel it’s a smart move to shut it down. Bottom line: if it doesn’t make money, it doesn’t make sense.”

This may have been a smart business move on JD’s part, but in a very entrepreneurship driven hip-hop industry, how many more small businesses are feeling the crunch and will be forced to close in the coming months?

Wow I didnt know it was a healthy cafe.
Too bad it aint work out.

If JD open it or moved it 2 San Francisco ot La Jolla,Cali I bet itll do well. In Cali they’re used 2 everything being expensive & r very health conscious.

Openning a business is all about location location location. I”d have to say JD should relocate the venture and the health shop idea will still be good to go.
